this is great! A real milestone. I just happened to read "Dreaming in Code" (a very nice piece of work on software development, following a wreck train case), where the idea of bootstrapping is illustrated and discussed in its powerful impact on the whole discipline of software design and development.
This is interesting. VADLO comes to mind for its bioinformatics software. There are good research cartoons also.
